Are you new to the SCA? Already a member, but have just moved into our Shire? Just curious?  From all of us here in the Shire of Barren Sands, WELCOME!

The Shire of Barren Sands is the branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism that serves the Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties in southern New Jersey.

The SCA is an international organization dedicated to research and education about pre-1600’s Europe and the countries that had contact with it. We learn about the Middle Ages by living it—making and wearing medieval clothes, painting and calligraphy, cooking and eating medieval food, learning to fight with swords, shields and armor, and so much more!
